I love changing colors on things.

I was just visiting some other blogs of the family and was reminded of the neatest experience I had.

I hired a neighbor boy to help me this summer, Josh, his is probably 15. He is the typical shy, chubby, short, suit and all Decon. Well, I neede help moving irrigation pipe, so he would come over and help. He learned quickly but he couldn't look at you when he talked to you and couldn't stand still at all, he'd rock back and forth.

We talked about everything, mostly about farming, animals, gardening, mechanics and work. He had never ever touched a horse until he came to my house. Then he had to learn to milk a goat, haul hay and various outher things.

Well, at Thanksgiving I had made arrangements for our whole family to go to Steamboat Springs for that week and spend time together.

I needed Josh to feed for me while I was gone. So I called their house and his step father answered the phone. I asked for Josh, and he said, "I have been meaning to talk to you, and have never caught you at church." Gulp, what have I done wrong, was my first thought. Then he went on and said, "I (we) can't thank you enough for what you have done for Josh, you have made such a difference in him, actually in our whole family." My thought was how? I never see any of your family but Josh. I said, "You've made my day!" And Thank you of course. I don't actually know how or what I have done, but I felt pretty good, that I had made a difference in someone's life. It is said, always do your best, because you never know who you will impress and touch their lives. I believe that, and usually you never hear about it. But I did and I have, and it feels pretty good. I am humbled by it and very grateful for the chance to make a difference.

It's almost Christmas, so I'm Wishing Everyone
Merry Christmas

I never take time to post, I don't have pictures to post. Then I also never think of setting down and writing on my Blog either.

It has been a busy year. I didn't do much as far as going anywhere goes, I don't where the time went.

I spent lots of time working on my health, although I haven't gotten skinnier, I do feel much better. My hormones were so out of whack I felt terrible all the time. Now I have that under control things look rather rosie.

I tried to can everything that I could grow. One I had never grown, but had heard of, was Huckleberries. I fed one to Renita and she about gagged and spit it out right quick. Funny!! But before the freeze I decided they needed picked. They didn't take up much space and sure did produce lots of berries. I mad Jam out of a few, then froze the rest for what purpose I don't really know. But we are going to make a pie out of some for Christmas. The Jam by the way is delicious. So much for Renita's taste buds. Just between you and me, they weren't very tasty fresh off the vine.

Then just for the sake of my conscience, in preparation of my food storeage, I bought a couple of milk goats. Although they haven't had any babies yet, so I am not milking them. Geni loaned me one of hers and I milked her, while I tamed those of mine down, Wild is putting it mialdly. Well, I made all kinds of cheese. Some were dismal failures, Wade was my biggest fan. He liked it. I send a round and some curds to Willy for their Old Jerusalam Christmas Party and everyone said it was good. Maybe they said it so they didn't hurt his feelings, but he said they ate all of it. So that says something. I'm not sure what, maybe there were just a lot of people there and they were forced to take a bite, until it was all gone. But back to my goats, they are great companions, until you want to come in the house, then they want to go there too. I have to lock them up at night, to keep them off the porch, but we had a dog problem here the first night we were here.

I have been been trimming my own horses feet, I have been blown away by what I have learned about it. I have gotten my horses feet in good shape now and they are all going barefoot and doing well.

I didn't go to any long courses this year with Parelli, but did a few short ones. I have learned so much there. It is actually fun to go play with my horses. If I can find someone to video for me and I can learn how to post it, I want to put some on to watch. Not that I am any great wizard with it, but we both have fun. The horse and myself.

Mom got here on Tuesday, She had been down with Peggy in Mesa since October. It is nice to have her here. She is doing pretty good, all in all. She hurt herself, when she stepped off a curb, but she didn't fall, just strained the tendon in the back of her leg. She doesn't do much, watchs TV and plays her card games. I truely wish she felt like doing something. Maybe it is because I don't do anything either, but go out and play farmer. She should be used to that, That's all Pa ever did.

I FOUND THAT SPIRIT OF PARELLI. IT IS AMAZING TO HAVE THIS KNOWING SOFT FEEL FOR THE FIRST TIME. AFTER YEARS OF STUDY AND LABOR, WHICH OF COURSE HAD TO COME FIRST, I GOT ON TO RIDE AND IT WAS LIKE PUTTY IN MY HANDS. THE FEEL WAS WONDERFUL. I WISH I HAD PICTURES. I WANT TO HAVE THAT WITH EVERY HORSE THAT I OWN AND RIDE. BUT IT TAKES TIME.

We had a great trip and had lots of fun. TayLour took most of the pictures, she did a great job. It was fun to put them on my blog, I am getting better at putting things together. I look at Jesica's blog and wonder how she does it all. I asked her but can't remember what she said to do.

Boy!! Happy New Year!
We have been looking at everyones blogs and I can say I need some help fixing mine up. I am not up to date on how to do some of the fun things that everyone has on their blogs.
Mom was in here with me and we were looking at the blogs, she enjoyed them so much, but standing here made her back hurt.
Since my last log in we have moved down to Beaver Dam for the winter, been to the National Finals Rodeo and San Deigo. Then the Holidays hit us and we now have that over, HooRay!!! Not that I am a grinch or anything.

Boone Joe and I went up the creek to look for some elk, we did see some but no big bulls, we were looking for some calves that had gotten out of the corral too.
It was a nice ride and we looked at Joes' new place where they are going to build their house.

Wade is pretty serious about his study of the horses. If he can't be out petting or playing with them he wants to look at the computer with pictures of horses or a book with horses or a DVD.

Mitzi and Sean brought the kids down to pick up their new puppy, they had to pick between the two puppies, it was a hard choice they were both to cute. The kids loved both of them. Kyra couldn't put them down, she loved to hold them and snuggle them. They are toy Fox terriers and so cute.

Last week Wade spent the day with me, while Mitzi and Shelley went to Doctor appointments.

We had a good time, we did all sorts of things outside.

Wader Bug, he loved to climb every fence there was. He is growing up and is going to be pretty tall. He is a happy camper, most of the time. They were here for almost 2 weeks in August, his other Grandma was very ill and was here for Dr. appointments, she is doing great now. She has been in our prayers.

It was fun having them here.

Grandma's (he calls me Grammy) tend to love having them come.

The problem with me doing this is that I am not artistic nor computer savvy so hopefully everyone that reads this will be a little forgiving of my shortcomings.
But it is fun and I want to put other photos and videos on, I am not sure that I can get them off my video camera (old) and put it on my computer , but it is worth a try.

This video was taken when Itchy was at his worst He has been crippled for 4 years and I am so glad to have him back, Thanks to Jim Crew, who told me what to do to fix his foot, and my farrier who did what I asked to fix it.

This is my Home inside the white line. The trees behind are along a steep hill so it is nice no one will be close behind me. Right now everything is green green, this picture doesn't go it justice. Plus I have changed a few things around and Planted grass in the pasture.

This was Clifford Frisby's 102nd Birthday Party held at the City Park in Heber City, Utah on Sept. 15, 2007. Cliff (Granddad) was born Septmeber 18, 1905.
